WindSim AS is the developer of the software WindSim, a simulator for prediction of local wind fields. WindSim’s primary application area is the wind energy sector. Today, wind energy is the fastest-growing renewable energy resource in the world.
The first version of the WindSim software was launched in 2003. Since then WindSim has established a unique position in the fast expanding wind energy market. Our product combines advanced numeric processing with 3-D visualization in a user-friendly user interface. Industry leaders world-wide use WindSim.
WindSim AS is a privately held, limited liability company founded in 1993 as a spin-off from SINTEF Applied Mathematics. In 2007 the venture fund Sarsia Seed AS joined WindSim AS as a part owner.
